The Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (Class VI-VIII) schools in Chhattisgarh.
CG TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CG TET Exam 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria –
For Primary Level (Class I-V) –
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
For Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VIII) –
- Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

CG TET 2024 Passing Marks details
The CG TET (Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test), candidates need to score at least 60% marks. This means that out of the total 150 marks for each paper, a candidate must secure at least 90 marks to qualify.
However, there is a relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and differently-abled. For these candidates, the passing mark is reduced to 50%, which means they need to score 75 marks out of 150.
