Please note that 10% of the positions in the Flying Branch are reserved for NCC cadets in AFCAT 02/2024.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for AFCAT(2) 2024 in terms of educational qualification for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches are as follows:

  • Flying Branch:
    • Candidates must have completed 12th standard with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics.
    • Additionally, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • GD (Technical) Branch:
    • Candidates must have completed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics.
    • They should also possess a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks from AICTE-recognised institutions.
  • GD (Non-Technical) Branch:
    • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a UGC-recognised university.

The age limit for both Flying & Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches is 20 to 24 years as of July 01, 2025. This means the candidate must have been born before 2 July 1999 and after 1 July 2005.

Application Fee

To apply for AFCAT 2/2024 for Flying or Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches, a candidate must deposit an amount of ₹500 using one of the provided payment gateways, irrespective of their category. Candidates applying through NCC are exempted from the application fee payment.

Admit Card

The Indian Air Force will release the admit card for AFCAT 2/2024, most likely a week before the exam date. Candidates are hereby notified that the hall ticket for the first stage of the selection process i.e., the written exam, won’t be sent to their residential address. Each candidate must download and print the admit card to carry to the exam centre.

Exam Date

The date for the Air Force Common Admission Test (2) 2024 has not yet been officially confirmed by the Indian Air Force. However, it is highly anticipated that the exam will take place in September 2024.
